6.2 General: Non-destructive tests

Non-destructive test (NDT) methods provide information about defects in the bonded joint at the moment of testing.

Examples of NDT methods:

  • Visible inspection
  • Knock test
  • Ultrasound test
  • X-ray test
  • Thermography

Classification of defects
