6.5.3 Test methods involving shear loads
6.5.3 Test methods involving shear loads
Compression shear test (DIN 54452)
|
Measurement of the shearstrength of adhesives in a rotation-symmetric bonded joint in an axial direction; in particular for anaerobic curing adhesives in hub-shaft connections |
Torsion shear test (DIN 54452)
|
Measurement of the shearstrength of adhesives in a rotation-symmetric bonded joint in a tangential direction |
Breakaway torque test (DIN EN ISO 10964)
|
Breakaway torque tests on threads allow comparative evaluation of the safety of bonded screw/bolt threads. |
Shear stress – shear strain test / “thick lap shear specimen” (DIN 54451):
Compared to the lap shear specimen according to DIN EN 1465, this “thick lap shear specimen” allows introduction of a defined shearload because the force deflection is very low. It is therefore also very useful for ageing tests. |
Measurement of the creep-rupture strength/creep behaviour (DIN EN 15336):
Determination of the creep behaviour when exposed to a specific load for a specific time |
