Procedure:

• The substrate surfaces must always be thoroughly cleaned and degreased; if necessary other surface treatment processes must be carried out
• Apply the primer evenly in a thin layer using a sponge, following the instructions of the manufacturer (thick layers weaken the adhesive bond)
• It must be ensured that the primer is suitable for both the substrate material/surface and the adhesive
• Heed the airing time (evaporation time); then apply the adhesive within the open time

Points to heed:

• The substrate surfaces must always be thoroughly cleaned and degreased and if necessary other surface treatment processes must be carried out
• Mix the primer before use
• Apply a thin, even layer
• Heed the airing time
• Heed the open time
• Close the container immediately after removing primer
• Note the date of opening on the container
• Primers must be used within a limited time after the first opening of the container
• Be aware of the risk of stress cracking
